Wind-Up Doll

Concept:

One child winds up a doll (teammate). Being “fully wound” the doll makes quick movements getting slower and slower and finally comes to a halt. The doll then needs to be wound up again.

Variations:

Impulse within the movement through e.g. walking, arm rotation, jumping or lumberjacks

A vertical body hemisphere (arm, hands, foot) makes slower movements followed by the other with a time-lapse

Hear the Knocking!

Concept:

Everybody sits on a chair with their eyes closed. A Child or “educator” moves around and knocks on the back of the chairs. The child sitting in that chair has to get up and follow. In the end everybody is moving. (Arl 2007)

Variations:

Sitting in a circle and taping on ones shoulder

The “educator” is clapping his/her hands. The children have to show where they heard it. (eyes closed off course)

I Show you the Way
