Magic Wand

Materials:

Magic wand, e.g. paperboard roll, newspaper roll

Concept:

The governess enchants the children into play toys or other objects. The children then have to act like this object. e.g. bouncing or rolling like a ball:

Variations:

Be a top (spinning)

Be a jumping jack

Be a car

Children take over the position as an enchanter

 

 

 

 

 

Sport Report

Concept:

Pantomime typical movements of athletes e.g. a football player while shooting a penalty kick

Variations:

Individual Athletes: boxer, weightlifter, swimmer, skier, cyclist, racing driver, gymnast

Team play: tennis, rowing, football, European handball, volleyball

Description with additional use of equipment e.g. through carpet pieces (bobsledder, figure skater, skier) or wall bars (climber)

 

 

 

 

 

Circus Artist and Animals disappeared!

Materials:

Circus material, masks, building blocks for the manege

Concept:

The children visit the circus, but no artist or animal can be found. Lest, the show has to be canceled, the children act as substitute actors and animals. (attachment 4) The children form a circle as a boundary for the manege.

Variations:

Pick a card out of the top hat from the ringmaster. On these cards certain movements of actors or animals are depicted and have to be acted out. The other children guess what is being acted.

Can be acted out as a subsequence in individual part

Also suitable for a plane pantomime act or a project (Posmyk 2008)
