Materials:

Pelts, absorbent cotton, plastics, sand …

Concept:

The children go to the different stations. Barefooted they feel the different materials and name them.

Soft or Hard?

Concept:

The children feel where their bodies are soft or hard.

Variations:

feel the flexing of muscles

frisking joints

 

 

 

 

 

I’m Breathing!

Materials:

Cuddly toy

Concept:

In supine position the children put a cuddly toy on their bodies. They see and feel the breathing.

Variations:

to feel the breathing of other children

to feel the own heartbeat

 

 

 

 

 

My Mirror Image

Materials:

Mirror

Concept:

The children stand in front of a mirror. The educator calls out a body part and the children start shaking their heads, arms legs, butts, etc.

Variation:

The children come up with movements they can do with their body parts.

 

 

 

 

 

Leaves fly

Materials:

Coloured leaves that fell from the trees in autumn (or playing outdoor)

Concept:

The educator lets a leave fall. The children are only allowed to move within the time the leave is sinking to the ground. The moment the leave reaches the ground, everyone moves from stance to squat.

Variations:

The children try to catch the leave without breaking it.

Everyone rustles with leaves.
