Touching Building Blocks

Materials:

Blanket, bag, two equal items, i.e. building blocks

Concept:

Two equal items lie under a blanket. Consecutively, the children are supposed to find i.e. the two square or round building blocks and show them to the others.

Variations:

playing the game while lying down

touching with feet

operating with two blankets

 

 

 

 

 

Above or Below?

Concept:

On command of the educator the children either sit on their chair or lie beneath.

Variation:

sitting/standing next to, in front of, behind the chair

 

 

 

 

 

Which Sock Fits?

Materials:

Different socks

Concept:

One of each pair of socks is put on a “socks-heap”, the other one is given to the children who then try to find the matching sock.

Around the Circle

Materials:

Coloured skipping ropes (see above), optional: chalk

Concept:

The educator uses the skipping ropes to lay down different forms. Each of the children should try to walk around the form without touching the rope.

Variations:

different types of movement (i.e. creeping, running)

changing position in order to walk around other forms

drawing the forms outdoor
